We love acting and everyone acts in their life even if they don’t know it. As soon as you lie, you are acting. You are making up a story, and making it a believable story so you won’t get caught in your lie. That is acting. Acting is everywhere, even if you don’t pursue it professionally. So, we wanted to help out everyone and tell you 5 Innovative approaches to improve your acting skills.

Here we go:
- Take Note of every Situation.
Acting is everyday life situations put to life. Look around at people’s facial expressions. What happens when someone asks them a question? In school or work, look around. Is that person at their desk bored or just deep in thought? Notice people’s mannerisims and their body language. Then, when you act apply it to the fake situation but pretend that it is real. - Just Act. It is called acting after all.
Acting is not hard because you do it everyday in your life. Just be yourself and add the character into that. Film yourself while you are practicing your lines and look at someone past the camera. Act like there is a person that is actually there. Then look at the tape and see what you did wrong. Then repeat. - Watch movies and plays.
Watching movies and plays can help your acting improve drastically. Watch a clip of a movie scene, pause the movie and try to mimic and do exactly what the person does in the scene. What is the volume and inflection on their voice like? Are they stern, happy, concerned? Does their body language say anything about the environment that they are in? Does their facial expression state a clear statement? Think about these things while mimicing the scene. - Act in front of a mirror and people you are close with.
Sometimes, stepping out on a stage is frightful. To fix this, practice acting in front of a mirror. This will help you gain self confidence when delivering your lines. Notice your facial expressions, your hand gestures and your movements. Fix what you notice is doing wrong and try again. Also, perform before your family and your friends. Then ask them some things you can improve on. They will be more likely to tell the truth and be honest with you then strangers would. - Don’t give up.
Acting may be frustrating at first. You might not be able to nail down a scene or you think you are not being realistic enough and that is okay. Acting takes time and practice. Don’t frustrate yourself and never give up. The harder you push for your goals, the more you will recieve.
Hope this helped!!
